Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Budo Promotions Limited trading as Auckland Martial Arts Supplies / AMAS, of 271 Dominion Road, Auckland, New Zealand (AMAS, we, us or our).

1.2 These terms and conditions apply to the AMAS social media tag competition described below (Competition).

2. Competition Period

2.1 The Competition commences at 12:00am New Zealand time on 1 July 2026 and continues until withdrawn, suspended, or terminated by AMAS.

2.2 Entries will be assessed by calendar month, with one winner selected for each calendar month.

2.3 An eligible post will only qualify for the calendar month in which it is first posted. A post will not qualify for any other month, even if it remains visible, is edited, shared, reposted, or re-tagged later.

3. Eligibility

3.1 Entry is open to New Zealand residents only, 18 years or older.

3.2 Entrants must have a valid Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook account.

3.3 Entrants must ensure their relevant social media account is public-facing and viewable by AMAS during the month of entry and at the time the winner is selected. If AMAS cannot view or verify an entry, the entry may be disqualified.

3.4 Employees, contractors, directors, and officers of AMAS, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

3.5 Entrants must comply with all applicable laws, these terms and conditions, and the applicable terms and community rules of Instagram, TikTok, and/or Facebook.

4. How to Enter

4.1 To enter, during the Competition Period an entrant must publish an original post, reel, story, video, or other eligible social media post on Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook that:

(a) tags AMAS using @akldmartialarts for the Competition; (b) clearly features one or more products purchased from AMAS; (c) reasonably showcases products purchased from AMAS; and (d) is publicly visible to AMAS during the relevant month of entry.

4.2 Each qualifying tag must feature product or products purchased from AMAS. AMAS may request reasonable information to verify eligibility.

(a) For the purposes of these terms and conditions, "AMAS products" means products purchased from AMAS, including products sold by AMAS under its own brands and products sold by AMAS under third-party brands.

4.3 Multiple entries are permitted. However, AMAS may exclude entries that it considers, in its sole discretion, to be spam, duplicates, low-effort entries, automated entries, misleading entries, or entries that do not genuinely meet the Competition requirements.

4.4 No entry will be valid unless AMAS can reasonably identify and view the entry during the applicable month of entry.

5. Entry Content Requirements

5.1 Each entrant must submit only original content created by the entrant.

5.2 Each entrant warrants that their entry:

(a) is original and does not infringe any copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity, moral right, or other intellectual property or legal rights of any third party; (b) does not contain offensive, unsafe, unlawful, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, misleading, inappropriate, or unrelated content; (c) does not contain any material that would damage the reputation or goodwill of AMAS; (d) does not include any person who has not consented to being included in the entry; and (e) complies with the applicable rules and policies of the social media platform on which it is posted.

5.3 Entries containing offensive, unsafe, inappropriate, unrelated, unlawful, or infringing content will be disqualified.

5.4 AMAS may disqualify any entry that it considers unsuitable, invalid, non-compliant, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Competition.

6. Judging and Winner Selection

6.1 This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in selecting a winner.

6.2 For each relevant month, AMAS will select one winning entry based on the best eligible entry for that month, as judged by AMAS in its sole discretion.

6.3 Judging criteria may include, without limitation:

(a) creativity; (b) originality; (c) quality of the content; (d) how effectively the entry features martial arts, combat sports, fitness, or related products purchased from AMAS;

(e) relevance to AMAS; and (f) overall appeal.

6.4 AMAS’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6.5 AMAS reserves the right not to award a monthly prize if no suitable eligible entries are received for that month.

7. Prize

7.1 Each monthly winner will receive one NZ$50 AMAS online coupon code.

7.2 The coupon:

(a) is not transferable; (b) is not redeemable for cash; (c) may only be used toward the purchase of goods from AMAS; (d) cannot be exchanged for any other prize; (e) may only be used once and if the full value of the coupon is not used, any unused portion of the NZ$50 coupon value is deemed to be forfeited; and (f) is subject to any reasonable coupon terms notified by AMAS; (g) expires 90 days after the date it is issued to the winner, unless otherwise advised by AMAS; (h) applies to the purchase price of eligible goods only and cannot be used to pay for shipping, freight, delivery charges, gift cards, or any other excluded items specified by AMAS.

7.3 AMAS is not responsible for any additional costs associated with accepting or using the prize.

8. Winner Notification and Claiming Prize

8.1 Winners will be notified through the same social media platform and account on which the winning entry was published.

8.2 AMAS may contact the winner by direct message, comment, or other available platform messaging function.

8.3 The winner must respond to AMAS within 7 days of notification.

8.4 If a winner does not respond within 7 days, cannot be contacted, is found to be ineligible, or does not comply with these terms and conditions, AMAS may select another winner or decide not to award the prize for that month.

9. Use of Entries and Reposting Rights

9.1 By entering the Competition, each entrant grants AMAS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, repost, share, publish, display, adapt, and promote the entrant’s entry, in whole or in part, on AMAS’ website, social media channels, marketing materials, and other promotional channels.

9.2 AMAS will give credit to the entrant where reasonably possible.

9.3 Entrants acknowledge that social media content may be shared, reposted, commented on, or interacted with by other users, and AMAS is not responsible for third-party use of public content.

12. Privacy

12.1 AMAS may collect entrants’ social media usernames, profile information visible on the relevant platform, entry content, messages, and any information provided for verification or prize fulfilment.

12.2 AMAS will use this information for the purposes of administering the Competition, verifying eligibility, contacting winners, awarding prizes, reposting entries, and complying with legal obligations.

12.3 Entrants should not submit personal information about any other person unless they have that person’s consent.

13. Changes, Suspension, or Cancellation

13.1 AMAS reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition if circumstances beyond AMAS’ reasonable control affect the proper administration, security, fairness, or integrity of the Competition.

13.2 AMAS will not amend the Competition in a way that unfairly disadvantages entrants who have already entered, unless reasonably necessary due to legal, technical, platform, operational, or other circumstances outside AMAS’ reasonable control.

14. Liability

14.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMAS is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost, or expense suffered or incurred by any entrant in connection with the Competition, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14.2 AMAS is not responsible for:

(a) entries that are lost, deleted, delayed, misdirected, corrupted, inaccessible, or not received; (b) privacy settings or platform settings that prevent AMAS from viewing an entry; (c) technical issues, platform outages, algorithmic suppression, account restrictions, or changes to social media platform functionality; (d) unauthorised use of an entrant’s content by third parties; or (e) any breach of platform rules by an entrant.

15. General

15.1 Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

15.2 If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

15.3 AMAS’ failure to enforce any right under these terms does not waive that right.

15.4 These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

15.5 Any dispute relating to the Competition will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
